General Information[]
Maya, at its timeline formation, is a Mayan Yucatec despotic tribe located in the Central America region and subcontinent in the North America continent. The tribe will form by uniting into one nation with Mayan Xiu, Itza, Calakmul and Tikal in 987, gaining cores, bordering fellow Mayan Yokotan, Tzotzil and Kaminaljuyu south and Chorti south and the waters of the Caribbean Sea in every other direction.
Historically speaking, the united Mayan League fell apart at around 1441, which resulted in the Yucatan becoming fractured into several different states warring for power. Maya can be formed by any country in the Mayan culture group and religion, and if formed, Maya will be a Great League Empire instead of a Tribal Kingdom, and will be an Empire (thus becoming a Mayan cultural union) instead of a Kingdom.
Cores will stick to the present day.

Strategy[]
Focus on reforming theMayan religion. Do whatever you can to pass reforms as quickly as you can. The advantage of the Mayans over the Central Americans is that theMayan religion has no Doomsday; so that's one less problem for you. Just focus on crushing the Central American countries and Mayan vassals that try to revolt against you. The most important reform is the Colonist one, especially if you start at a date earlier than 1444. Having as much of the Americas colonized before the Europeans show up is your top priority after reforming the Mayan religion.
